Kelly Simon: Making a House Feel Like Home - Melange by KP

Baton Rouge native Kelly Simon developed her love of design growing up surrounded by her grandmother's antiques and home décor. From rearranging furniture and creating vignettes to experimenting with painting and décor, her natural eye for creating beautiful spaces evolved into a career in interior decorating and design.

For nearly 20 years, Kelly has owned a design and gift business in Mandeville, helping clients find everything from distinctive home décor and thoughtful gifts to the perfect finishing piece for their space. Her work is centered on creating homes that feel comfortable, personal, and reflective of the people who live in them.

Kelly takes a personal approach to every project, beginning by getting to know her clients and how they live. She considers their interests, family activities, favorite destinations, and personal experiences, using those details to create spaces that feel uniquely theirs.

Her favorite part of the process is helping clients discover their own design style. Rather than starting with a specific formula, Kelly encourages clients to identify the things they genuinely love and then finds a way to bring those pieces together in a cohesive and

beautiful way.

Being part of The Foyer has allowed Kelly to connect with a new and diverse clientele throughout Baton Rouge and surrounding communities while reconnecting with the area where she grew up. For her, design is ultimately about more than decorating—it is about turning a house into a home and creating spaces that tell the story of the people who live there.

Visit The Foyer at 3655 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 12 to 5 PM. To shop and see more of Melange by KP, Kelly Simon's decor picks.
